Just printed boarding passes …

It looks like, we will have to skirt Syrian airspace on our trip on Thursday. Instead, we will take a route through Austria, passing Vienna just on its South-side, then head towards northern Bulgaria, before entering Turkey. Now, we have to fly due east, before turning South at the very top of North-East Syria. There, we’ll cut south, over Mosul as we are passing through Iraq, following the Iranian border, then passing the capital on the right and flying across Kuwait down to Doha.

It looks like we have a window seat on the left side of the plane, so we should be able to see Iran, but not Syria.
