So, we decided to take the boat across Lake of Thun from Spiez to Thun on this beautiful fall day. We got off the train and followed the well-marked path from the hill down to the lake and where the ship would dock.
Anton and Lukas enjoyed the walk very much, as they were very excited to get on a ship.
On the way to the dock, we saw a playground and Lukas and Anton were super excited. Fortunately, we had set aside enough time and had time to play on this nice playground with the lake in the background.
After boarding the ship, we sat in the back of the boat and watched the other boats and the beautiful scenery in the background. The snow-covered mountains include the famous Eiger and Jungfraujoch.
Lukas pointed out that our neighbours were eating chips and told them that the chips were very yummy. They then offered him chips; one way of our kids getting sweats. Lukas was a bit tired, as this was generally his napping time.
Pretty much how our ship looked like. Ships cross Lake Thun on a regular schedule and many people use them for transport and just for enjoyment, it seems.
We made a few stops along the lake and every once in a while, we passed a castle. Anton was a bit puzzled that these castles had roofs, since he had old places with missing or caved-in roofs. Thomas really enjoys observing the landscape with Anton and spotting objects of all kinds.
Beautiful landscape! Great that the summer/fall season is so nice this year.
