Foods of Switzerland

While there are many types of food in Switzerland, here are a few photos of the foods that we had. It should be noted that different areas (cantons) enjoy different types of food, these here include specialities from Graubünden and Aargau (carrot cake).

Fleishplatte

Bergkäse
Bergkäse von Tenna (each town has its own cheese)
Birnenbrot und Rüablikuchen
Birnenbrot und Rüablikuchen (Aargau) – Birnenbrot wird nur im Dezember gebacken
Fondue Chinoise with Veal, Beef, Pork, Deer, Shrimp, and Chicken – the meat is cooked in the boiling pot (missing still) in a flavored bouillon; there are different dipping sauces (tomato, cilantro, mayonnaise, curry, sardines, etc.) and vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cuccumber) at the top. If you loose your meat in the pot you sing a song.
