Since we are living in a “Japanese” area near its embassy, we had some Japanese lunch. We sat in the no-shoe area and slippers appeared in front of me all of a sudden; couldn’t even see them appear; the hostesses were very attentive up to the point where you feel you have to eat nicely as they are watching every bite you are taking. The menu was extensive in Japanese and Vietnamese.
