I’ve been so pampered living in southern California where there is such a variety of delicious foods from all over the world. Needless to say, when given the choice to spend all morning make a complicated time-consuming dish from scratch or going 15 minutes down the street to pick it up, I’ve always chosen the quicker route. In Switzerland – there’s only one option- and that’s if you can find all the ingredients.
So this is my first attempt at making banh bao with meat filling. Next time I’m going to try a sweet filling. It tasted pretty good and the kids enjoyed the pigs (the banh bao, not the parents:).
