After some major tinkering, I fit the bike into the box; at 20.4 kg. Mostly it’s a bit wider than the box and I added reinforced card board to protect it better. The bag has the sleeping bag, cooking gear, clothes, water purification toiletries and the rest, weighed in at 19kg. 
Wow! for your bike trip, right? Which “stan” country are you going to again? BTW, I met an older gentleman from Uzbekistan on my cruise! We had a lot of very nice talks!
